Could you tell me how much additional insurance I would have to pay to cross an EU boarder with the rental car for 7 days? I want to pick up at Graz Airport.
Agent
You can check cross border rules and fees (if any) here:-
Agent
To view the CROSS BORDER or FERRY terms and conditions. At STEP2 of our 3 step online booking process, alongside the car photo of your choice, there is a link entitled “IMPORTANT INFORMATION”. Clicking on this link will open an additional smaller window, with the terms and conditions appertaining to that particular car/supplier. Choose then the CAR tab and look under TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS Try a few different suppliers as each supplier/vehicle type may have a different cross border rule. To which country do you want to travel?
Client
Either Croatia to Slovenia or the other way round.
Agent
OK. This is for example what GLOBAL says about crossborder:-
Agent
Travel Restrictions Please note you must obtain prior authorisation from the rental agent before any cross border travel. Cars may be taken into the following countries: Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Monaco, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Czech Republic, Poland. A Cross Border Fee of 10,00€ (incl. VAT) per rental applies for driving into Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Italy.
Client
So there is NO crossborder fee?
Agent
Correct. Each supplier has it's own rules and fees, check them before you decide. Some apply a fee, others not.
