Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Please note permission from the supplier needs to be obtained before cross border travel. Please ensure to check this with the car hire agent prior to cross border.

Cars may be taken into the following: Germany, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Monaco, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Poland.

A Cross Border Fee of 10,00€ per rental incl. VAT applies for driving into Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Information must be provided in advance. Local cross border fee is 20,00€ incl. VAT.

For all other allowed countries except Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Italy a fee of 45,00€ (incl. VAT) per rental applies and the deposit held on the renter´s credit card can be up to 2.000€

Ferry use is only allowed in European countries and their associated islands. There is a fee of 40,00€ incl. VAT per rental in addition to cross border fees. It is mandatory to request ferry use in advance.

Taxes and charges

Airport fee

Fee for pick-up at an airport location. Included in the total price of your rental but may be payable at the rental counter.

Roadside assistance

Breakdown assistance is included with this car. In case of emergency during business hours, call the number provided by your car rental supplier and they will send help. Assistance outside of business hours may incur an extra charge. Please note that this only covers mechanical failure.

Unlimited mileage

Unlimited mileage with this rental means you can drive as much as you want, with no additional charges for extra kilometers.

Collision damage waiver (CDW)

Often referred to as CDW, this partially covers damages incurred to your vehicle. Please note that you will still be liable for insurance excess (see: Not Included section below). CDW does not cover damage or loss of keys, tyres, glass or undercarriage.

Theft waiver (TW)

This covers costs relating to the theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle but does not cover the loss of personal possessions. Please note that you will still be liable for insurance excess (see below).

Third party liability protection (TP)

This covers damage sustained by another driver’s car in the event of an accident caused by you
