Driver's age
26 to 99 years.
Young driver's age: 21 to 25 years. Charge 32.1 EUR per day. Includes 20% tax
Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
Please note, for Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), all customers must present a return flight ticket when picking up their rental vehicle with requested documentation. Any customer that fails to show a return flight ticket will not be permitted to collect the rental vehicle at CDG.
All local renters must provide proof of home address in France with a utility or phone bill. Please note local renters are not permitted to rent at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport if they have no proof of return flight.
Inbound customers picking up at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport must provide a local landline telephone number and a valid boarding pass or mainline train ticket showing arrival at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport within 24 hours of the rental start date. Please note that we reserve the right to request additional ID or conduct further identification checks if needed which may include an identity check with an external organisation.
Please note, you may drive the rental car to certain countries outside of France. Renters must provide a local landline telephone number, this cannot be a mobile number.
Cross border policy is subject to change. Vehicles can be driven in Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. A surcharge of 55.00 EUR will apply for all cross border travels which is payable at the rental counter. Vehicles must be returned to France mainland.
Vehicles can also be driven in Corsica, Sardinia and the Balearic Islands but must be returned to France mainland.
Customers must always inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require authorisation.
In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require authorization. Any movement of the vehicle outside of pre-authorized countries will be in breach of the Rental Terms and Conditions. Liability will arise accordingly.
Please note that we are unable to provide any additional equipment that may be compulsory for driving abroad (e.g. breathalyzers, warning triangles, first aid kits etc.) and this responsibility rests on the driver. Customers are therefore required to be aware of any requirements of the destination and any countries or regions customers might travel through. A list of requirements is available from websites such as the AA at: www.theaa.com.
Please check with the rental provider in advance that the vehicle has the proper equipment in accordance with local traffic rules of the country you intend to travel to (eg. Winter tyres).
Please note upon prior authorisation from the rental agent : The following customers may only be allowed to cross the border from the international area to the French area: Passengers with a boarding pass from Geneva, Passengers with a car rental agreement AND a flight ticket or boarding pass from Geneva,Airline employees, Passengers wishing to use the French detax office Persons having accompanied a child or passenger with restricted mobility with a departure from the French sector . Any local French resident wishing to rent a car from the French area rental desk has to be dropped by car to the French area before reaching the French office.
